And no I’m not ashamed but the guilt will kill you

I’ll never love you like her

dear john letter

okay i get inspired  on the train, and write, here it goes

dear john,

this is to any man/female, do everyone a favor and try not to break a beloved ones heart. i know this is normally inevitable, but try. let pride not be an issue. All is not far in the game of love. there are winners and there are broken-hearts. Be human. dont become the asshole ex. the psycho ex.  the one that forever stopped caring ex. the lack of emotion ex. the ex that doesnt understand the lost in starting a new begining. remember the first days of happiness. remember the last gleaming lights of love. when our most reliable organ is broken or abused, what becomes truth? what is to be questioned? desire! death to desire, because with lust follows love which follows passion which ends in obsession.

everyone wants to believe in it. everyone wants to controll it. no one thats had it can forget it. anyone who lost it wants to remember it. it can fill or empty hearts. it can create happiness and deminish life. IT is LOVE. be careful, even the strongest man has a fragile heart

—Sincerely, RavieB

hmm how can i put this

dear you,

be urself, you have nothing to prove to anyone. i know that is the most cliche opening line in the world, but when u come to the point in your life when you really love your inner individual, life becomes that much more fun. confidence is the best characteristic someone can aquire. it makes it easier to love and even easier to let go. start trends, end trends, follow trends. whatever make YOU HAPPY

“me, me, its all about me”

thats should be your slogan. its so sad when you see someone who doesnt realize his/her worth in the world

the Absurdity behind individuality.

This what i want to know, plain and simple...i think its ridiculous how mad "individuals" become when they realize they arent the only ones in this game called life. Okay ! Wow so everyone in the recent years has jump on the creativity boat...BIG DEAL, it doesnt matter. i keeping "oh everyone wants to be a rapper/photographer/model/fashionista/blah blah ya mother blah blah blah. The point is it shouldnt matter. pop culture glorifies creativity and individualism beyond belief. It shouldnt be a surprise that everyone is into it and moreso it shouldnt bother anyone. speaking from a personal perspective, an aspiring photographer point of view, it doesnt even faze me. So now theres a bunch of people flashing DSLR, with a creative eye and some good lighting. There could be a million greater photographers, THERE ARE A MILLION GREAT PHOTOGRAPHERS, thats not going to disenfranchise my art or stop me from embleshing my creative side.
if you're going to be a trendsetter, then expect to be duplicated, copied, followed because thats essentially what you are asking for. Thats like asking to be a leader without a group of follows, it doesnt make sense. life is a paradox. it a group of humanbeing trying to be individuals TOGETHER. its never going to happen. no one is absolute or constraint to the persona the imitate. i kind of like the fact that this generation is shifting to a creative side, exemplifing beauty like never before. with me its not about STANDING OUT moreso it is STANDING UP.
i STAND UP for creativity
for cultural progress
for authenticity, being true to oneself
thats all i can do.
consider it being a cultural elitist. :]

Gold digger?

or just a woman that know what she wants.

So the never ending question, is it wrong for a woman to want a man that has money?

i think not ! especially if the woman herself is successful and has money. look no one wants to be with a person that has nothing go for themselves. a young female that has a job still likes to be wined and dined, especially if its first impressions. it not to say that you have to spend money of a girl to show her you care or that money is everything but im going to be brutally honest and say money helps. now this post is not about "TRUE LIFE, NO GOOD GOLD DIGGING FEMALES". this is about the successful women. i dont know what happened to the men that like to take their females out. but iguess the new age thought that just cause "she got her own" and cause shes "miss independent" she doesnt want to be treated. WRONG !
take your girls out, make them feel special =]

Crush[ed]

do know what i hate about crushes... like what i really REALLY hate about crushes.

so its Boom! you meet this guy, you know nothing about him but physically you are attracted to him. its like looking at him just makes the sun shine alittle brighter. so then you begin to talk, you know the "whats your favorite color, describe urself as the perfect person" game and by the end of it you are love struck. in reality you know nothing about eachother. first impressions tend to be majestically fabricated. on both sides of the magic stick people reinvent themselves. the girl tells the guy what he wants as the guy does for the girl. so anyway after the first conversations you are left wanting more. i know most crushes leave you over analyzing the life you and ur crush could have. you over think it, over do it, over EVERYTHING it. you become hopeful, like really hopeful. you have a few good times and you think to urself this could really be perfect, if "insert crush name" made more of an effort. now here comes what i hate, well two things that tend to happen, not always but most of the time. so either you realize that you dont even really like the person, just what you created them to be. it hits you that you dont even want to hear them speak and bash your head against the wall for making him/her your everything for 15.2 seconds aka the longest period of your life. or it becomes a deadend and goes NO where. it makes you think "what is there not to want" and your re evaluate yourself over and over again and it sucks and it hurts and its not fun at all. now ofcourse this is just one situation but ive seen so many go through it, ive gone through and then months later it hits me like -__- why even do that .

i dont know but maybe it goes back to the chase, the whole what if moments. everyone likes to hold the world in their own hands and with crushes its easy to create this fairy tail in ones head. to eliminate every negative characteristic. whatever the case may be crushes crush ur spirit. but you have to get back up. live it off. and laugh about it

Happy birthday Jackson Pollock

who said Mess' werent beautiful

i must say

that to this day everytime i hear "miss independent"-Ne-yo, i still get that little pep in my step

kudos Ne-yo for making a song that embraces strong women. sometimes it seems that men are scared of successful women. they're egos are too big to have a female do better than them. its unimaginable to them for a female to have the ball in there court. WELL
SCREW THAT IDEA
strong women are making a comeback

hello to the wonder women
to the miss independents
to the miss "she got her own'"

we are here
we are bold
and we are staying

lmao wow i feel like the ill feminist now but you get my drift.

the difference between men & women is.

men care about what women think and women care about what OTHER WOMEN think.

most men want to attract females, they want to impress them in regular terms. so they make crazy money and smell crazy good and brag. the last thing on the guys mind is what the other men think.
women on the other hand care alot about being judged by other women. when we go out to the club its mostly about looking better than the next chick, or "standing out". i personally think like a dude. i can understand wanting to be the best, but really in a world as big as ours, theres bound to be someone just as good, if not better than you.

WHO CARES?
worry about you & yours.

TIME is.

whatever you make of it. time is just change.

without change there is no history.
no time.
no difference between energy and matter.

ever wonder how time moves so slow when one is a child, but the minute you get older it moves as fast as the speed of light. that is because when you get older every day you question your actions. everyday you change.

dont stop changing, because with every bit of change comes new information, self innovation, and every bit of innovation reduces uncertainty thus reducing chaos.

change can be peaceful.

RETAIL ETIQUETTE

ok ladies and gents, there are some new rules to retail. being that i work in a clothing store i think i should set somethings straight that alot of customers forget. little things that drive me crazy

  • if you go into the fitting room with 48923478932 items, do not bring them out in a crumpled insideout ball. dont leave the hangers in the fitting room and expect the sales associate to be
nice. when you take things off, hang them back up. please and thank you
  • when someone is at the door and greets
you, dont ignore them, it will not hurt to say hello back.
  • if you ask an associate to check something for you, dont get impatient if they take to long and leave, sometimes they have to run down 38947 flights of stairs just to check for that damn ugly wallet you have been searching for.
  • KNOW YOUR SIZE. if you are a 28 waist why try to fit in a pair of cigarette skinnys size 24. i hate when customers give me jeans missing buttons, dresses with broken zippers and shirts that look like they've been worn by 3 people...at once
  • if you ask for an item and we say "i dont think we have it" it means we are tired, and or busy, and dont want to look for the item. it might just be in front of your eyes...this leads to the next
    rule
  • LOOK AROUND before you ask. yes it is our job to help. no that doesnt mean we will shop for you.
  • if you drop something pick it up. if something is folded, refolded it after you look at it. do i go into your home and destroy it
  • dont just try on clothes for fun. at the end of the night we have to put the 238892 clothes you tried on back in their places.
  • dont get mad at me when the clothes dont fit right.
  • do not try and shop in a store 10 mins before its closing. do not frantically destroy neat piles of shirts to see if we have what you want. wait till the next day. trust me we are open 7
    days a week.

    1. thank you. if you follow these ten rules you will make every sales associate life a lot easier

oh btw i love emely...fin fin fin fin

the internet and the destruction of interpersonal communication

This morning I was on the train, when I noticed the new advertisement for Dentyne ice gum. It was titled “make face time” and featured pictures of couples being intimate, hugging, laughing, and laying together. The captions used ‘internet lingo’ like “send friend request” “lol” and “accept friend request”. It hit me at that moment in time how much the Internet has changed the use of language and the way people intermingle. It’s obvious that in this day and age, the Internet has chain-reacted a lot of innovation and the way in which we communicate. Now it is able for someone to find his/her long lost sister in Peru within seconds. The traditional forms of communication are being pushed aside. A good hearty laugh has been easily mutated into “lmao”. Internet communication has its positives and negatives, both of which will be explained in this essay. I feel that as long as Internet communication remains secondary to that of its traditional, then no harm can be done.

Interpersonal communication differs from other forms of communication in that there are few participants involved, the interactants are in close physical proximity to each other, there are many sensory channels used, and feedback is immediate. An important point to note about the contextual definition is that it does not take into account the relationship between the interactants. Interpersonal communication is in general; the way people talk to one another and the levels of comfort ability they go through. When two strangers are first introduced they are not going to exchange their deepest darkest secrets or consider each other best friends. Interpersonal communication over time builds bonds. Through it trust is built. Trenholm argues that interpersonal communication goes through stages. She says, “Interpersonal communication goes beyond the cultural level of communication”. Cultural is just encountering such as meeting strangers. Sociological communication is being able to have a conversation without being personal. For example conversations between coworkers or in a school environment are considered sociological. Interpersonal is characterized as being spontaneous, direct and giving feedback.

Steve Duck discusses the interpersonal communication “filtering theory”. Duck believes that people reaffirm that they exist through communication. Basically, communicating with others helps one to develop an identity and through social reward define his or her existence. Duck describes filtering in four levels. The first is contact, the location in which people meet. The second is pre-interaction, also known as nonverbal communication. In this stage the filtering is based on appearance and gesturing. After this comes social reward. Its receiving gratification though communication. It’s what one gets out the conversation. Last but not least is compatibility. To many this is the most important. It’s when both obtain a social reward.

This is where the Internet takes over. The Internet has completely altered the ways of filtering and in turn has changed the way in which individuals communicate with each other. For one location is insignificant. With websites like myspace, eharmony, and match, people from all over the country can communicate. The second and probably biggest change is the altering of appearance. The Internet allows anyone to create the ideal persona. It’s extremely misleading to the eye. One can basically “appear” to be a 13 yr girl and in reality be a 50 yr old pervert. The scary part is that there is no way to change this. Programs like Photoshop make it very easy to alter pictures and can change everything down to skin complexion. The Internet also manipulates the 3rd filter, social reward. This is what the advertisement is describing. The social reward is no longer physical or “real” more so it’s arbitrary. The Internet depletes the emotion in communication both verbal and non-verbal. Lol is not the same are laughing so hard ones stomach hurts. The Internet simplifies the process of interpersonal communication. Unlike the traditional communication, the Internet filters all the complications out. Things can be deleted, forgotten and changed. Words can be unwritten and feeling can be uninvolved. Despite what many believe, the Internet allows isolation. A person no longer has to go out and make friends. There begins to be a shift in the definition of ego because on the Internet one has total control on how others perceive them.

I can, from experience, argue how much the Internet has change the way I make friends and the way I interact with others. The Internet is way easier medium to talk to others through but it is very impersonal, and I personally dislike it. Because of the Internet things like texting have become a new craze. I know fellow teenagers that have cell phones only for texting. Verbal communication is no longer a necessity to get a point across. I’m very curious as to what the next big thing will be in communication. It started with the written word and then the phone and now the Internet what next. I would hope that the Internet doesn’t take away from traditional interpersonal communication, because the fact that it’s interpersonal is important. Trust is built on interpersonal relationships. That’s also why it’s very hard to trust anything on the Internet. There is no bond between an individual and others on the Internet, at least not a real one. Let ‘s pray the Internet doesn’t take over what I value so much about human beings, communication.
